We will run Network centrally from the church hall as it involves some DVD clips, Powerpoint presentations, up front leading, group discussions and personal exercises working through participants’ guides. These guides cost R100 each, but alternating spouses could share by using a notebook if they like.

Network is a 6 part course. These sessions include:
1. Imagine a Church…
2. The Purpose of Gifts
3. The Discovery of Gifts
4. The Power of Love, and the Value of Personality
5. The Influence of Passion
6. The Promise of Ministry

Due to the challenge that many of us face with children, we will duplicate the sessions so that spouses can take turns attending the course and looking after the kids at home. That way, no one has to miss out, but it means the 6 week course will take 12 weeks (attending every second week).

The participants will have the option of attending on either a Tuesday or Thursday evening on alternating weeks. This should help to include more people as well. Those in Home Groups would still be welcome to meet on their “free” night if they like. Another positive thing about running the course with this format is that it will create opportunities for getting to know other people in the church, cross pollination of groups, as well as for Home Group members to still have regular times of connecting. In other words, it will be fun doing it together 

You will note that there will be a two week break over the Spring school holidays, when I will be away for a couple of church conferences anyway. We will finish just in time for the year end “silly season”.

The Network sessions are about an hour each. So we will start at 7pm and finish around 8:30pm to allow some time for fellowshipping over tea and coffee.

Booking is essential, as we will have to order the books which will be sent to us. So bookings will close on Sunday 11 August!
